Mission Trip - Ireland - 2017 - FULL
Are you ready for a unique cultural challenge? To stretch your thinking and experience how Christ and his Church are being made relevant in a post-christendom, anti-church culture? This mission trip to Limerick is just for you! There you will get to experience how Elevate community Church is countering the cultural trend and reaching people who have completely lost trust in the church and organized religion. Very specifically, our CCV team this year will be a group of married couples who will lead and facilitate a marriage conference for our friends at Elevate.
Trip Dates: October 11-18, 2017.
Registration for this trip is CLOSED and FULL. We have a very specific task for the team this year and will only be recruiting a few Married Couples to go. If you and your spouse want to go and help facilitate a marriage conference, be a marriage mentor for a couple in Ireland, and can offer a specific perspective on marriage, please contact us by hitting the red "Register" button to the left and adding yourselves to the wait list. Ireland, as with much of Europe, has been known for its religious culture for centuries, however, in the 21st century culture has shifted to post-Christian and sees the church and organized religion as irrelevant and unnecessary. This trend is starting to creep into American society and will be something the church will certainly have to face. This mission trip will challenge participants to access this culture and experience how Elevate Community Church is growing, despite these challenges. The divorce rate in Ireland is quite low, but that doesn't mean that couples are happy and healthy. There is desperate need for a refocus on marriage, God's design for it, and how to be a godly wife and a godly husband.
What are the requirements to go?
All participants must be at least 18 years of age; married; and meet the marriage requirements set forth by the team at Elevate.
All participants will go through CCV's Starting Point class and our Volunteer Screening/Background Check process.
Individuals must be physically capable of walking long distances.
TEAM MEETINGS: The team will be required to meet for minimum three team meetings for training- August 12, 12:30pm-2:30pm - August 26, 12:30pm-2:30pm - September 9, 12:30pm-2:30pm. Team may meet for one or two additional meetings for more specific trip planning.
Lodging and Transportation
You will be staying in a hotel in the Limerick area. Hotel arrangements will be made through Elevate Church. All air arrangement will be made by CCV, and you will travel with the team. Ground transportation is provided through buses.
What’s the cost?
$2,200 per person, based on double occupancy. Add $500 for single occupancy.
Included in this price is airfare, lodging, transportation in Ireland, luggage fees for any bags full of ministry supplies and group meals while in Limerick.
Not included: Passport fees, meals on travel days, extra spending money for coffees or souvenirs.
$500 deposit is non-refundable at the time of registration. If a cancellation is made after airline tickets have been purchased you will be responsible for the cost of the ticket. FULL Payment is due one week prior to the trip.
Passports, Visas, and Shots
A valid passport is required for this trip. Your passport cannot expire within 6 months of your trip’s return date. No visa is required. There are no shot requirements. Hepatitis A and B and updated Tetanus shot is strongly recommended for ALL trips. The State Department is expecting a high passport volume this year, so if you need to apply or renew your passport, please do so very soon so you ensure it's ready by the time of the trip.
We absolutely encourage fundraising. Very few people pay for the trip on their own. Number 1 way is to send support letters. Tell your friends and family about the trip and ask them to donate. Number 2 way is to put in some hard work and do garage sales and car washes, get together with other team members to make a bigger impact. You will talk about this when you get together as a team.

This registration process will take about 10-20 minutes to fill out. Please allow enough time to complete the whole process which will include requiring current passport information and medical insurance information.
A $500 deposit non-refundable per person is required with this registration.
**Please be advised: It is CCV policy that a Volunteer application and Background Screening must be passed by every participant on this trip, age 16 and older. If you have any reason to believe you may not pass, please hold off on registering and placing your non-refundable deposit.
Terms and Conditions: By registering for this trip and paying the non-refundable deposit at this time, you are also committed to joining the team, attending the required team meetings, and paying the remainder of the cost of the trip before the trip's departure date. Failure to comply with these terms, completing the volunteer application process or attending Starting Point class gives CCV the freedom to ask you to not participate in the trip. The trip leader reserves the right to ask any participant to not participate if they feel the integrity of the trip is in jeopardy.
If the trip participant backs out of the trip after airline tickets have been purchased in their name, they will still owe CCV for the cost of that ticket.
If a participant is asked to end their trip early, they will travel home at their own cost.
